We see each new project as a collaborative journey that maximizes the potential to deliver innovative, functional, sustainable, and commercially viable architectural outcomes.
Our Practice
The Four18 practice spans from environmental retrofits of existing buildings to the complete planning and design of new neighborhoods and public spaces. While our work is aesthetically diverse, our projects are linked by a focus on enhancing human relationships through architecture.

Fisherman’s Beach is one of our early projects that has since become a much loved destination for locals and Tourist’s alike.
The Four18 Difference
People often ask us why we are called Four18. In 2009, when we founded the practice, previous clients contacted us and committed to working again with us in the future. When we canvassed clients on how they would perceive a change of name we were again told – “we just want to work with Darren and Richie”. The name Four18 evolved from this comment – D is the 4th letter and R is the 18th letter of the alphabet. Our name represents why the practice has been successful. Our clients work collaboratively with Darren and Richie to achieve the best possible project solutions and want to work again with us in the future.
