Design Brief
Four18 were engaged to transform a small sandwich shop into a 100 seat café and catering business. After securing a leasehold on the existing breezeway and a second tenancy area to the rear of the property we were able to achieve the required seating capacity, servery counter, small commercial kitchen area on view to the public and separate food preparation area allowing to service both the café and catering operations of the business. An existing redundant fire sprinkler service was retained and painted bright red with this theme continued through the café. Existing brick walls were stripped back to their original bare finish, the existing floor was ground to a salt and pepper finish with the use of timber around the counter and furnishings tying these finishes together in the overall scheme.
